Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Ana started learning how to sing and play music from an early age, along together with her mom. The formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many chamber and opera choirs. After moving in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
